Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical procedure that removes excess fat deposits from specific areas of the body to improve body contour and shape. It is not a weight-loss method, but a body-sculpting technique.

Common Areas Treated:

  • Abdomen and waist

  • Thighs and hips

  • Arms

  • Back

  • Neck and chin

  • Buttocks

Procedure:

  1. Anesthesia: Local, regional, or general depending on area and volume.

  2. Incision: Small cuts are made near the treatment area.

  3. Fat Removal: A thin tube (cannula) is inserted, and fat is suctioned out using a vacuum device.

  4. Closure: Incisions are closed or left to heal naturally with dressing.

Indications:

  • Excess fat resistant to diet and exercise

  • Desire for body contouring

  • Improve proportions and symmetry

Risks / Complications:
