He was born in Dhaka in 1953. Graduated MBBS in 1980 from Mymensing Medical College under Dhaka University. Trained in plastic surgery since 1981 to march 1985 at Dhaka Medical College under Prof. Md. Shahidullha. FRCS, first ever plastic surgeon in Bangladesh. Received Monbushu scholarship in Japan for plastic surgery, achieved his PhD in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery from Nagasaki University School of Medicine in 1990 April also received DTM from Nagasaki School of tropical Medicine in 1990. Did his post doc fellowship in same Dept. Received fellow ship in Christian M Kleinert Institute for hand and Microsurgery, Louisville, Kentucky, USA.1992 1994 Worked as Director of Microsurgical Research, since 1994 to 2000 at Yale university, New Haven, USA. Practiced as Plastic surgeon at IBN Sina Hospital since 2002 to Update.

Joined at Burn unit Dhaka Medical College Burn unit in 2003 retired in 2010. Joined smile train Project . He performed 3500 Cleft Lip and Palate operation at Sylhet IBN Sina Hospital, Sylhet. Joined as project director to German Deutsche Cleft kindercare project in Chittagong Lions club Hospital since 1918 to 2022. Performed about 2500 cleft lip and palate operations. Joined as a part time consultant Diabetic Neuropathic consultant at Narsingdi diabetic and General Hospital Practicing Plastic surgery Consultant at Islami Bank Hospital, Bangladesh Malticare Hospital, Better Life Hospital, IBN Sina Hospital Dhanmondi, Apollo Clinic and JMI Specialized Hospital Dhanmondi,Dhaka. Contributed 40 International Publications (Such as PRS USA, Annals of Plastic Surgery, USA. American and British Journal of Hand surgery, American Journal of Medical Genetics). Specialist in Hand & Cosmetic Surgery, highest numbers Gynecomastia treatment and Breast Augmentation with Silicon Implants in Bangladesh. Specialist in Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) Wounds and Emergency Injury. All kinds of Birth defects management.

Through years of relentless effort and commitment, Dr. Rashed earned his MBBS degree, followed by FCPS (Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) in 2020, FACS (USA) in 2024, and MRCS (England and Edinburgh). During his internship at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH), he discovered an aptitude for surgery—a field that demands clinical judgment, technical precision, and compassion. This realization deepened his sense of purpose and inspired him to pursue advanced training at some of the country’s most respected institutions, including Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) and Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
